This Sylvania tube is from 1940’s USA military production and it has Signal Corps number SC-966A printed on the base. The VT-52 (aka 2C45, 45 Special) is a transmitting / audio power triode. Recently it has been adapted for service in high-end custom audio amplifiers. It is a very rare tube type and prized by audiophiles for its fine audio sonic characteristics.
