I purchased a beautiful item at an antique dealer, but I am not using it, so I am selling it. At the time of listing, we verified that the product was energized. I was able to receive both AM and FM broadcasts with great sound and sensitivity. The sound is particularly good for FM broadcasts. As soon as you turn on the switch, the pilot lamp on the right speaker lights up. The broadcast will be received after about 30 seconds. After that, the STEREO EYE will emit light (about 10 minutes) when the vacuum tube warms up and the reception sensitivity is at its best. The left speaker is equipped with an amplifier circuit dedicated to FM signals, and has its own volume control. The right speaker is equipped with an FM and AM receiving circuit and amplifier, and has a volume control for the right speaker. Since there is a (power) amplifier on each side, the separation between the left and right channels is excellent and the sound is realistic. I received an orchestra performance on NHK broadcasting, and the sound was excellent, with a warm tone and reverberant sound that you could feel in a crowded venue. Even though it's a vacuum tube radio, it's also very interesting because it's built with a printed circuit board (I think it's a rare product with very few examples). Since this was an era before solder resist, the fact that the circuit was covered with solder also gave a sense of the times. Since this is a product made over 60 years ago (1961), I inspected the capacitors for deterioration, but none of the electrolytic capacitors had a capacity lower than the indicated capacity. I think you will be able to use it for many years to come. There is no gully in VOLUME or TONE adjustment. All knobs work properly. The tuning knob and needle move smoothly without getting caught. If you connect a record player (not included) in PH mode, you can enjoy high-fidelity sound like a separate stereo. There is no damage to the speaker unit or damage to the diaphragm. The magnesium getters on each tube are very clean and indicate little use. There are no cracks or breaks in the wooden cabinet case. There are no tears or damage to the speaker's Saran net. There is no signs of use overall and I feel that it is a very high quality item.
